Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance regarding products and services.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area and store environment.
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle money and make change quickly and accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
