As a Cashier, you are the face of our store. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a quick and pleasant checkout experience. We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and are looking for individuals who share our passion for customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and honesty.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist with any inquiries regarding products or prices.
- Bag groceries and prepare orders for pickup or delivery with care.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags and supplies.
- Monitor the store for safety hazards and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
