Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately scan items, operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products, and resolve any complaints efficiently to ensure high satisfaction.
- Store Operations: Assist with stocking shelves, organizing the sales floor, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
- Account Management: Reconcile daily sales, handle returns and exchanges, and prepare deposits for the night shift.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure store operations run smoothly.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and cash-handling procedures strictly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Availability: Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
