Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit card, and gift card payments with strict adherence to company policies and cash handling procedures.
- Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient customer service at the checkout counter.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area throughout your shift.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering general inquiries.
- Bag merchandise and ensure items are handled with care.
- Participate in inventory checks and restock supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately under pressure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work on your feet.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Reliable availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with POS systems.
