Responsibilities
- Greet every customer warmly and professionally upon entering the store to set a positive tone.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the modern Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict attention to detail and register balancing.
- Bag groceries and assist customers with loading their vehicles to ensure a convenient checkout experience.
- Keep the checkout counter, counter area, and restrooms clean and organized at all times.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with patience, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register and alert management when product restocking is needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory; training is provided.
- Strong basic math skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly attitude.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required.
