Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey.
- Handle cash, credit card, and check payments with strict adherence to cash-handling policies.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean, tidy sales floor.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product availability, prices, and store policies.
- Manage returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions according to company guidelines.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet daily sales targets and maintain inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail sales role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately are essential.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting light boxes.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Reliability and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in operating standard POS (Point of Sale) software is a plus.
