Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Bag merchandise and maintain a clean, organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering basic inquiries.
- Keep the register area tidy and restock supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with precision.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
