Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems while maintaining 100% accuracy
- Provide outstanding customer service through greeting assistance and problem resolution
- Operate cash registers, scanners, and card payment devices following security protocols
- Bag groceries and assist with carryout services for elderly/disabled customers
- Monitor checkout lanes for cleanliness and organized displays
- Collaborate with stock associates to maintain front-end inventory levels
- Participate in daily store opening/closing procedures including cash handling
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
