Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with any questions regarding products or services.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area and store aisles.
- Bag groceries or assist with carry-out services in a safe and timely manner.
- Stock shelves and assist in inventory management when not at the register.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
