Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide assistance throughout their shopping journey.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with strict attention to detail and accountability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area, ensuring the register is fully stocked.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product locations, prices, and store policies with patience and knowledge.
- Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring orders are packed securely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the front-end team to ensure smooth transitions during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high precision.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor towards all customers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (boxes of merchandise) as needed.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using touchscreen technology.
