Responsibilities
- Safely walk and monitor 2-4 dogs per group in Anchorage's outdoor trails and parks
- Provide real-time location updates and photo/video reports to pet owners via our mobile app
- Administer basic pet care (hydration, waste cleanup, leash handling) during walks
- Maintain accurate records of dog behavior and health observations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for dog handling and emergency procedures
- Build rapport with clients and their pets through consistent, reliable service
Qualifications
- Passion for dogs and commitment to animal welfare (no professional experience required)
- Ability to walk 5+ miles daily in varying Alaskan weather conditions
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and report documentation
- Reliable transportation to Anchorage walking locations
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Basic smartphone proficiency for our reporting application
- Must pass background check and pet handling assessment
