Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Prepare and maintain patient records using EHR systems
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized per HIPAA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate referrals and prescription management
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification required
