Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with circulation services, including check-outs, returns, and account management
- Provide exceptional reference services using digital and print resources
- Organize and maintain library collections according to cataloging standards
- Facilitate technology assistance for patrons using library computers and devices
- Support youth and adult programming coordination and execution
- Process new materials and manage inventory control systems
- Contribute to a welcoming and accessible library environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Library Technology or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year library or customer service experience
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and basic office software
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to serve diverse populations
- Knowledge of library classification systems (Dewey Decimal preferred)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills strongly preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license may be required for outreach duties
