Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, and account maintenance
- Assist patrons with digital resources, research databases, and public computer access
- Process new materials including cataloging, labeling, and shelving
- Conduct outreach programs for children and adult literacy initiatives
- Maintain library spaces ensuring cleanliness, safety, and accessibility standards
- Support interlibrary loan systems and resource sharing networks
- Participate in collection development and inventory management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation (for branch rotations)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must complete paid training program with 95% attendance
