Responsibilities
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and account maintenance
- Assist patrons with digital resources, research databases, and technology troubleshooting
- Organize and maintain library collections using Dewey Decimal System principles
- Facilitate community programs including children's storytime and adult literacy workshops
- Process new acquisitions and conduct inventory of library materials
- Support interlibrary loan requests and material preservation efforts
- Collaborate with librarians on special projects and community initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet navigation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Commitment to equity and cultural competency in public service
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (for outreach programs)
