Key Responsibilities:
- Shelve and organize library materials, including books, periodicals, and media, in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Assist patrons with locating resources, using library computers, and checking out materials.
- Process new library arrivals, including stamping, labeling, and cataloging.
- Monitor library floors to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
- Answer general inquiries via phone, email, or in-person with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Support special events and programs as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a library, retail, or customer service setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with database systems (e.g., Follett, ELMS).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
