Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with material location, circulation processes, and reference inquiries
- Manage library accounts, process fines, and handle interlibrary loans
- Shelve and organize library materials using Dewey Decimal System
- Support digital literacy initiatives including device troubleshooting and database navigation
- Contribute to collection development through inventory and deselection activities
- Facilitate community programs and outreach events
- Maintain clean, accessible physical spaces and ADA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or library experience
- Proficiency with library management systems (e.g., Sierra, Evergreen)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills for public computers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
