Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service assisting patrons with material selection, research, and digital resource navigation
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-ins/check-outs, account management, and fine processing
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections using Dewey Decimal classification and cataloging protocols
- Develop and implement engaging community programs for all age groups (children, teens, adults)
- Assist with technology troubleshooting, printer maintenance, and basic equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members on collection development, inventory management, and space optimization
- Participate in outreach initiatives promoting literacy and library services to underserved communities
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 60+ college credits in Library Science, Education, or related field
- Minimum 2 years library or customer service experience with demonstrated public interaction skills
- Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS) and digital resource platforms
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail in cataloging and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills with ability to serve diverse populations respectfully
- Basic technology troubleshooting experience with computers, printers, and mobile devices
- Ability to lift 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work flexible schedule including weekends
