Responsibilities
- Manage circulation operations including check-in/check-out processes, account maintenance, and fine resolution
- Provide exceptional reference services using advanced search techniques and specialized databases
- Oversee collection development through acquisitions, deselection, and cataloging using ILS systems
- Coordinate public programming including workshops, author events, and digital literacy sessions
- Implement outreach initiatives to underserved communities and special populations
- Train patrons on digital resources, e-books, and research databases
- Maintain accurate statistical records for usage metrics and program evaluation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or related field (MLS candidates preferred)
- 3+ years of library experience with proven circulation/reference expertise
- Advanced proficiency in integrated library systems (e.g., Sierra, Koha)
- Demonstrated success in developing community outreach programs
- Strong analytical skills for collection assessment and usage analysis
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patron populations
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and navigate multi-story library environments
- Valid Georgia driver's license for branch rotations
