Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with information retrieval, resource navigation, and digital literacy support
- Manage circulation desk operations including check-outs, returns, and account maintenance
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections according to cataloging standards
- Develop and implement engaging community programs for diverse age groups
- Collaborate with librarians on collection development and resource acquisition
- Utilize integrated library systems (ILS) for inventory management and reporting
- Support outreach initiatives to underserved communities
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in library or educational setting
- Proficiency with digital resources, databases, and office software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of cataloging principles (Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (for outreach duties)
