Responsibilities
- Execute premium coffee preparation with precision using espresso machines, pour-over methods, and cold brew systems
- Train and mentor junior baristas on beverage recipes, customer engagement, and operational standards
- Develop seasonal menu innovations featuring local ingredients and specialty brewing techniques
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and quality assurance for coffee beans and supplies
- Curate personalized guest experiences through product knowledge and storytelling
- Uphold exceptional cleanliness and safety standards across all service areas
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional barista experience with advanced espresso certification
- Proven expertise in latte art, cupping, and multiple brewing methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to educate guests on coffee origins
- Strong leadership background with staff training and scheduling experience
- Knowledge of specialty coffee trends, sourcing, and sustainability practices
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining precision and quality
- Valid California Food Handler's certification
