Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and provide friendly assistance.
- Process sales transactions quickly and accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and check payments, ensuring all transactions balance correctly.
- Bag merchandise neatly and assist customers with carry-out when necessary.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area at all times.
- Assist with inventory stocking and price changes as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle money with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Reliable transportation and a history of consistent attendance.
