Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide outstanding service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns promptly
- Handle returns, exchanges, and price adjustments per company policies
- Bag merchandise efficiently and assist with carryout services
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and restock supplies as needed
- Monitor store security procedures and report suspicious activity
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation activities
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
- Basic proficiency with technology (POS systems, payment processing)
