Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, tea, and smoothies, according to company standards.
- Operate coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including wiping down counters, tables, and restrooms throughout the shift.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and process refunds or changes as needed.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and cleaning the breakroom as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service/hospitality industry is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a standing-room-only environment.
- Enthusiasm for coffee and a willingness to learn brewing techniques and latte art.
