Responsibilities
- Manage circulation systems, including check-ins/outs, renewals, and fine processing
- Assist patrons with research, digital resources, and technology troubleshooting
- Organize and maintain physical/digital collections using Dewey Decimal classification
- Develop and implement engaging community outreach programs
- Train volunteers and supervise junior staff during peak hours
- Collaborate with archivists on special collections preservation
- Compile usage analytics for service improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Library Science or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years library operations experience with ILS systems
- Advanced proficiency in digital resource management (LibGuides, OCLC)
- California Library Associate certification or equivalent
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patron interactions
- Spanish bilingual proficiency required
- Experience with grant-funded programming implementation
- Valid California driver's license for outreach duties
