Responsibilities
- Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems: Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using modern POS software.
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and resolve complaints with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Cash Management: Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies and security protocols.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies at all times.
- Upselling & Promotions: Inform customers about current promotions, sales, and loyalty programs to drive revenue.
- Returns & Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges efficiently, verifying item condition and receipt validity.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is highly preferred.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for basic mathematics and currency counting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
