Responsibilities
- Develop and execute forward-thinking technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market trends
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AI, blockchain, biotech)
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with commercial potential
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and industry pioneers
- Drive innovation sprints focused on sustainable tech and digital equity
- Present technology strategy to board members and investors
- Oversee R&D budget allocation and patent portfolio development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI governance, or sustainable tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Technology Strategy Management (e.g., CTS) preferred
- Published thought leadership on future tech trends
- Experience managing $5M+ R&D budgets
- Strong network with Silicon Valley and Austin tech ecosystems
