Horizon Global Systems is on a mission to define the technological landscape of 2026. We are seeking a visionary Future Systems Architect to lead the development of our next-generation Neural Interface and Quantum-ready cloud infrastructure. You will be at the helm of Project 2026, translating abstract futuristic concepts into robust, scalable, and secure technical roadmaps.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams of AI researchers, software engineers, and UX designers to build the platform that will define the next decade of human-computer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Technical Vision: Define the architectural blueprint for Project 2026, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and emerging technology trends.
- System Design: Design and oversee the implementation of scalable microservices and distributed systems capable of handling quantum computing workloads.
- Roadmap Strategy: Create detailed technical roadmaps and milestones for the 2026 release cycle, assessing risks and resource requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor senior engineers and junior developers, fostering a culture of innovation, code excellence, and continuous learning.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select external technology partners and cloud providers to integrate cutting-edge AI hardware and software.
- Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols to protect sensitive user data and intellectual property in a decentralized environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale distributed systems.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Python, Rust, and cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure). Familiarity with quantum computing frameworks is a plus.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven track record of translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Innovation: A passion for exploring emerging technologies and a demonstrated history of implementing innovative solutions.
