Responsibilities
- Safely leash-walk dogs in Baltimore neighborhoods and parks, maintaining control at all times
- Monitor pets' behavior, health, and well-being during outings and report concerns promptly
- Administer basic care (feeding, medication under guidance) as specified in client instructions
- Maintain detailed digital logs of each walk, including duration, observations, and photos
- Build trust-based relationships with both dogs and their owners through consistent communication
- Adapt walks to individual dogs' needs (energy levels, age, breed-specific requirements)
- Participate in weekend and early morning walks to accommodate client schedules
- Uphold strict safety protocols during all interactions and outdoor activities
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for multi-location routes
- Current CPR/First Aid certification for pets (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes (up to 100 lbs) with confidence and control
- Excellent time management skills to manage multiple daily walks punctually
- Strong communication abilities for client updates and team coordination
- Physical stamina for extended outdoor activity in various weather conditions
- Must pass comprehensive background check and pet handling assessment
