Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise 3-6 dogs simultaneously in designated Lexington neighborhoods
- Provide feeding, hydration, and medication administration as per client instructions
- Maintain detailed digital logs of pet behavior, health observations, and service times
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments and grooming facilities using company vehicles
- Implement positive reinforcement training techniques during walks and interactions
- Perform basic pet first aid and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Build strong client relationships through regular communication and photo updates
- Ensure all pets are secure using proper harnesses, leashes, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Physical ability to walk dogs in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold)
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills for client interactions and team coordination
- Knowledge of dog behavior, breed-specific needs, and positive training methods
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
