Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise 3-5 dogs simultaneously in designated New Orleans areas
- Provide feeding, hydration, and medication administration as specified by pet owners
- Maintain detailed digital logs of pet behavior, exercise duration, and notable incidents
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or daycare using company-provided vehicle
- Administer first aid and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Build strong client relationships through regular communication and photo updates
- Ensure all pets are securely leashed and follow leash laws in public spaces
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog handling experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Current pet first/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily in varied weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and handling techniques
- Excellent time management and punctuality skills
- Reliable transportation and smartphone with data access
- Positive attitude and genuine passion for animal welfare
