Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise 3-6 dogs per group in designated Jacksonville neighborhoods
- Administer medications and special care as documented in client profiles
- Provide real-time photo/video updates via our proprietary app
- Maintain detailed logs of pet behavior, exercise, and health observations
- Transport pets to vet appointments and grooming facilities when needed
- Implement positive reinforcement training techniques during walks
- Coordinate with pet parents via text/email for schedule changes
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking/pet care experience
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to walk 5+ miles daily in varying Florida weather conditions
- Proficient with smartphone apps for communication and photo sharing
- Strong understanding of dog body language and pack dynamics
- Reliable transportation (van provided for work use)
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
