Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently to process customer payments, including cash, credit, and digital wallets.
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries about products, and assist with locating items to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers, balance daily sales reports, and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Store Presentation: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints, returns, and exchanges professionally and courteously.
- Inventory Support: Assist with stock replenishment and visual merchandising when not at the register.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills and attention to detail are essential for accurate cash handling.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
