As a Cashier, you are the face of Lubbock Market Co. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and treats every customer with warmth and respect.
Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist them with finding products or answering inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags and supplies.
- Assist with bagging groceries and maintaining the overall appearance of the sales floor.
- Resolve customer concerns or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
