Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable individual to manage our point-of-sale systems, handle cash transactions accurately, and provide top-tier customer service. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with finding products or answering inquiries.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and checking expiration dates.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and in a timely manner.
- Cash out the register at the end of the shift and prepare daily deposits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales preferred but not required.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to handle cash with high precision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
