Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle cash, credit, and debit card payments while maintaining strict adherence to company policies.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide product information to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Merchandising: Maintain a neat, organized, and clean checkout area; restock supplies and assist with general store upkeep as needed.
- Bagging & Assistance: Pack customer purchases securely and offer assistance with bags or heavy items.
- Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints or issues calmly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Inventory Support: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and reporting discrepancies at the register.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash with 100% accuracy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attitude: A friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
