Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs promptly.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and gift card payments while balancing the register.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and surrounding aisles.
- Bag merchandise efficiently and ensure customer bags are handled with care.
- Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency is an asset.
