Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a warm and welcoming attitude to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with patience and professionalism.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Assist in bagging purchases and ensuring merchandise is handled with care.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register and notify management when stock is running low.
- Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation is required.
