Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide superior service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with strict attention to detail and accountability.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate specific items in the store, and provide helpful recommendations.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to maintain a welcoming and organized store environment.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
