Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide exceptional service by greeting customers, answering product inquiries, and resolving concerns
- Bag merchandise efficiently and offer carryout assistance for elderly/disabled patrons
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages to department managers
- Uphold sanitation standards by cleaning checkout areas and restocking supplies
- Assist with price checks, returns, and exchanges following company policies
- Collaborate with team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail/cashier experience preferred
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills for cash handling
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to operate POS systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality required
