Responsibilities
- Provide safe, enjoyable walks for 1-4 dogs per outing based on client needs and temperament compatibility
- Maintain detailed digital logs of walks, including behavior notes, bathroom breaks, and photos/videos
- Administer basic care (water, treats, medication if certified) while adhering to client-specific protocols
- Transport dogs to/from designated locations using company-provided vehicles or public transit
- Respond promptly to client communications and schedule changes through our mobile app
- Attend monthly training sessions to expand skills in pet first aid, behavior management, and route optimization
- Report any concerns about animal health or welfare to our operations team immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (if using company vehicles)
- Reliable smartphone with data plan and ability to use our proprietary scheduling app
- Physical ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes (up to 70 lbs) in all weather conditions
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends with at least 15 flexible hours weekly
- Passion for animal welfare with knowledge of breed-specific needs and behavior
- Strong time management and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
