Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service by answering questions and assisting with product selection to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Store Operations: Maintain the organization and visual appeal of the sales floor by stocking shelves, folding merchandise, and setting up attractive displays.
- Checkout Efficiency: Process customer transactions accurately at the point of sale (POS), handling cash and digital payments with strict adherence to security protocols.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, price changes, and identifying out-of-stock items to ensure the store is always well-stocked.
- Store Maintenance: Monitor the cleanliness of the store, including restocking restrooms and ensuring the overall facility meets high hygiene standards.
- Security & Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure shopping environment for both customers and staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not strictly required for this entry-level position.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and reliability in previous employment or academic settings.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods during your shift.
- Technology Proficiency: Basic computer skills and comfort using touchscreen registers or POS systems.
