We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Evening IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Provide tier-2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone and remote desktop tools.
- System Monitoring: Monitor server health and network performance to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Incident Management: Log, track, and manage all help desk tickets and incidents within the ticketing system (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) with a focus on timely resolution.
- User Assistance: Assist employees with password resets, software installations, and basic connectivity troubleshooting.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, runtimes, and knowledge base articles.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to company security protocols and assist in enforcing IT policies during evening shifts.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or IT is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems; knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, specifically from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (EST/CT), Monday through Friday.
- Tools: Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk) and help desk software.
