Responsibilities
- Merchandise Handling: Unload delivery trucks efficiently and organize stock according to company standards and visual merchandising plans.
- Shelf Maintenance: Restock shelves, ensure products are facing forward, and remove damaged or expired items.
- Customer Assistance: Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers by answering questions and locating products.
- Store Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor and backroom area at all times.
- Inventory Control: Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work early morning shifts (typically starting before 6:00 AM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail stocking or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and strong work ethic.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure product presentation meets company standards.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
