Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs in residential and urban areas while maintaining control and positive reinforcement
- Provide detailed daily reports to clients including behavior notes and activity logs
- Administer basic care like fresh water, treats, and waste cleanup during walks
- Adapt walking routes based on weather conditions, dog energy levels, and client preferences
- Build trust with dogs through consistent handling and positive interactions
- Attend monthly training sessions to refine skills and learn new techniques
- Uphold strict safety standards and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds and walk up to 5 miles daily
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and report writing
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Patience and genuine affection for dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Must pass background check and pet first aid certification (provided)
- Availability for early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
- Proactive problem-solving skills for unexpected situations
