Responsibilities
- Safely walk dogs individually or in small groups (max 3 dogs) in Minneapolis neighborhoods and parks
- Provide real-time photo/video updates to pet owners via our mobile app
- Administer basic care (feeding, medication, hydration) as specified by clients
- Maintain detailed logs of dog behavior, health observations, and walk duration
- Transport dogs to/from veterinary appointments or grooming when needed
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for handling dogs in all weather conditions
- Build strong client relationships through exceptional communication and reliability
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation (vehicle or sturdy pet stroller/bike)
- First Aid/CPR certification for pets (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Availability for early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
- Knowledge of Minneapolis pet-friendly routes and weather protocols
- Ability to pass thorough background and reference checks
- Comfortable handling dogs up to 80 lbs with varying temperaments
