Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously (up to 4 per group) using secure leashes and positive reinforcement techniques
- Provide personalized care including feeding, medication administration, and playtime as specified by pet owners
- Maintain detailed daily logs of pet behavior, exercise duration, and any notable incidents
- Administer basic first aid and recognize signs of distress requiring veterinary attention
- Utilize our mobile app for real-time GPS tracking, scheduling updates, and client communication
- Represent Urban Paws professionally with branded attire and courteous client interactions
- Complete weekly route optimization to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (if transporting pets)
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability and data plan
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk 5+ miles daily in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and punctuality with flexible availability
- Strong communication skills for client updates and conflict resolution
- Completion of pet first aid/cpr certification (provided upon hire)
- Comfortable handling diverse dog breeds and sizes
- Must pass background check and drug screening
