Responsibilities
- Provide safe, exercise, and enjoyable dog walking experiences for dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
- Ensure all dogs are securely leashed and under control at all times during the walk.
- Clean up waste immediately and dispose of it in designated receptacles.
- Maintain accurate daily logs regarding dog behavior, feeding schedules, and any special instructions.
- Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, or distress and report immediately to the pet parent or management.
- Engage in positive interaction with dogs to build trust and ensure they are happy.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to pet parents by communicating updates and photos.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with dog walking or pet sitting is preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- A genuine passion for animals and a patient, friendly, and reliable demeanor.
- The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.) comfortably.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable smartphone with data for GPS tracking and communication apps.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (if assisting with larger breeds or carrying equipment).
