Responsibilities
- Safely walk multiple dogs simultaneously using proper leash handling techniques
- Provide feeding, medication administration, and basic care as specified by pet owners
- Monitor pets' behavior and health, reporting any concerns promptly
- Maintain detailed logs of walks and care activities for client communication
- Transport pets to vet appointments or grooming sessions when required
- Clean up after pets and maintain equipment hygiene
- Build trust-based relationships with both pets and their owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation with pet-safe vehicle
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and handling techniques
- CPR/First Aid certification for pets (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in Tampa's climate conditions
- Background check clearance required
