Responsibilities
- Safely leash-walk dogs in Newark neighborhoods and parks
- Provide timely potty breaks and waste cleanup
- Administer basic care (water, treats, medication as directed)
- Maintain accurate client logs and scheduling updates
- Transport pets to/from veterinary appointments (as needed)
- Report pet health or behavior concerns to clients
- Ensure all interactions are safe, positive, and stress-free
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking/pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (preferred)
- Ability to walk multiple dogs simultaneously (up to 4)
- Trustworthy background check required
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
